Europe's Gas Storage Hits Lowest Level Since 2011 as Winter Looms

Europe faces spiking natural gas prices this winter amid the lowest gas storage levels in more than a decade and tightening LNG markets amid the Middle East crisis. EU storage sites were only 57% full as of August 5, data from Gas Infrastructure Europe shows.

That’s the lowest level for this time of year since 2011 and well below the nearly 70% full storage at this time last year.
