India Says It Will Keep Exporting Diesel

India will keep exporting diesel to help meet global demand and ease the fuel crunch, Oil Minister Hardeep Puri said. “We honor our commitments,” the minister said at an industry event in New Delhi, noting that India’s refining capacity continues to expand thanks to years of investments.

India’s refining capacity today is around 5. 36 million barrels per day (bpd), which will rise to 5. 8 million bpd over the next year, Puri said. By 2032, India targets to have 6. 4 million bpd of refining capacity, the minister noted.
